Better inventory (Actual for Gone Fishing) v1.0
Simple updated Better inventory mod via BetterAutopatch. Ready to use. I took an existing mod, the Better Inventory mod, and processed it with the Better Autopatch tool. This generated a ready-to-use version compatible with the latest Fallout 76 update. The idea to post it was to let people do quick installation with Vortex. Other words, for lazy people like me. Enjoy.
Key Features of the Better Inventory Mod:
1. Expanded Filters for Inventory Categories.
Typically, using the Ctrl key (or LB on a gamepad) allows you to cycle through filters within the current tab. The Alt key lets you cycle backward:
– Food/drinks: Allows you to filter items into food/drinks. This is incredibly useful when you’re looking for a specific item to restore thirst or hunger among a pile of other things.
– Weapons: Lets you filter weapons by type: ranged weapons, melee weapons, throwable weapons.
– Apparel: Provides filters to distinguish between outfits/clothing and armor pieces. (may not work)
– Notes: Includes filters for unread plans and recipes.
2. Display of Total Weight for Item Stacks:
The mod shows the total weight not just for each individual item, but also for the entire stack of identical items (e.g., the combined weight of all 50 Stimpaks or 1000 rounds of ammunition). This helps you better manage being overencumbered.
3. Display of Weight for Each Inventory Category/Tab:
– You can see how much weight each individual tab of your inventory occupies (e.g., how much all your weapons weigh, all your apparel, or all your chems). This allows you to quickly identify which category of items is weighing you down the most.
4. Faster Inventory Navigation:
– Quick Tab Switching: By holding down the Shift key while navigating left/right, you can jump two tabs at once.
– Jump to Tab by Number: You can directly jump to any tab by pressing the corresponding number key (1-9).
