Handmade Rifle Iron Sight Fix
The front sight post for the Standard iron sights for the handmade rifle has been present in the game files the entire time, but has been bugged and not visible in game.
What this mod does is restore the visibility of the sight post. That is all. This doesn’t change the stats of the rifle. It is only a cosmetic fix to restore the sight to how it was intended to be.
Install Instructions
Unzip with 7-zip (available free) and extract the HMSF.ba2 to to your Data folder (found in your Fallout 76 game directory).
Insert the file name sResourceArchive2List in the [Archive] section of your Fallout76Custom.ini file. You can typically find this in your
“This PC/Documents/My Games/Fallout 76/” folder.
If you don’t have a Fallout76Custom.ini file yet you can simply make one using notepad and place the following lines inside:
[Archive] sResourceArchive2List = HMSF.ba2Separate any other mod .ba2 files by a comma.
If you run a lot of mods you may run into a problem with the last mods on the list not loading due to limitations with how the game loads archive lists. You can attempt to get around this by shortening the file names of all the .ba2 files in your list (and making matching changes in the custom ini file of course). Alternatively you may want to use Archive2 to unpack and repack related mods into a single .ba2 file, or use BAKA file tool to load them after using BAE to unpack them.
