Perk Scaling Descriptions v1
Replaces vanilla perk descriptions with the actual scaling values. No more guessing what “based on your LCK” means — see the real numbers.
Brackets mark the soft cap — the point where investing more SPECIAL gives sharply diminishing returns.
Installation
– Choose Lite or Detailed — pick one version, not both.
– Download the strings package for your choice (PerkScalingDescriptions-Lite_strings.zip or PerkScalingDescriptions-Detailed_strings.zip). The *_xtranslator.zip files are only for translators using xTranslator / fallout76translator — you do not need them to play.
– Open the ZIP and place strings\SeventySix_en.DLSTRINGS under your game Data folder, i.e. …\Fallout 76\Data\strings\SeventySix_en.DLSTRINGS (same folder vanilla uses next to SeventySix_en.STRINGS / .ILSTRINGS). Overwrite when prompted.
– No .ba2 or sResourceArchive2List entry is required for this layout.
To uninstall: delete Data\strings\SeventySix_en.DLSTRINGS from this mod (restore from backup or verify game files if you removed the vanilla file).
Compatibility & load order
– Conflicts with any mod that also replaces SeventySix_en.dlstrings (same path in Data\strings\ or inside an archive). The format ships the full string table for that file — whichever resource wins for that path applies to all strings in it, not only perk lines.
– If you use another mod that patches DLSTRINGS, only one can own SeventySix_en.DLSTRINGS at a time; merge manually or pick one.
– Vanilla files are not edited inside the sealed game folder if you only add/overwrite under Data. Game patches won’t corrupt the mod file itself, but if Bethesda changes a perk, scaling numbers may be wrong until this mod is updated.
– English (_en) only. Other language clients won’t pick up these strings.
Translators (xTranslator)
Use the matching *_xtranslator.zip file: import the XML into fallout76translator / xTranslator as a dictionary (Source → Dest) after loading the English SeventySix strings. Publish your language as its own DLSTRINGS for Data\strings\, not by mixing XML with the strings download above.
