IconSortingTags

IconSortingTags is an alternative sorting modification that uses Font icons.
The [prefixes] are shorters that way, also they are de facto working in all languages.

The strings has been generated by using:
https://www.fallout76mods.com/sortingtagsgenerator/ – for the sorting prefixes
https://www.fallout76mods.com/componentparts/ – for the component suffixes

Those tutorials/tools will teach you to update, translate and even customize your strings automatically.

Important Note:
Those tags only work with game version that uses occidental charsets (en, fr, es, de etc…). Oriental charsets (jp, cn, ko) will not work properly in that case.

Installation:
The game data folder in inside the betheda launcher install path .\Bethesda.net Launcher\games\Fallout76\Data
-Unzip the zip file in the game .\data folder.
-This will create an archive file named “IconTag – Main.ba2” and a subfolder .\Strings folder with the relevant file in it.

Now the tricky part:
Go to your folder MyDocuments\My Games\Fallout 76\

Create a file called Fallout76Custom.ini, if you don’t already have one
Then add this in it (on one line)

Please note that this is *NOT* the same line than some other mods like Better inventory. This line starts by “sResourceStartUpArchiveList=”
If you fail to do that correctly, the modification will not work, and the game will use the default font file.

Compatibility: not compatible with mods that edit ingame texts by modifying .Strings files or the default occidental font swf.

Also, VERY IMPORTANT: After each Game Update, it is absolutely necessary to replace the strings by a newer version that fits the current version of the game. If you fail to do that, you will get some strings errors, or worse. It is you own responsibility to maintain your installation up to date.
